Kungsmässan is an award-winning shopping mall in the Greater Gothenburg area, and very popular among its visitors. In such a dynamic venue, renovation and extension projects are almost never-ending and the customer immediately realized the opportunities and values that can be gained from Reality Capture, laser scanning and BIM to obtain a 3D digital model as a building information database that can be reused and updated in real time as changes occur.
Walter has on behalf of SWG Nordic AB worked with the creation of this architectural BIM model based on highly accurate point cloud data. The georeferenced model was developed in Revit, at SWG’s LOD 200, and in addition to the structural and architectural elements, it includes the information about the spaces and their areas.
